GETTING OUT OF THE PIT

Bible reading: JEREMIAH 38:1
I am pastor Martin Mugendi, I come from Kathunguri town. Today we will hear the word of God from Jeremiah 38:1.
We have done many things for the Lord yet still his word remains. Remember that God is always with you. We as Christians sometimes can even fast and the situation, we are facing becomes worse to the point that we question if God is with us. I came to tell you today, Irrespective of your hardships, or what you are going through, remember that God is always with you. You are praying, fasting, and worshiping, God seated on his throne is waiting for His time to come through for you.
Prophet Jeremiah was born like the majority of us but he was called by God at a very young age. He would give his excuses why he saw himself unworthy but God told him he knew him even before he was born or conceived in his mother’s womb. At one time, he complained that he stammered and did not know what to say then God touched his mouth and gave him words to say.
As a Christian, you are given a mandate to destroy or to build. I want to tell you that you have been given a mandate to bring down the works of the devil in Jesus Christ’s name. May the grace of demolishing works of the enemy; the devil, be upon you so that you may disconnect from his plans and connect your life to work for God.
For I have known my plans for you says the Lord, If there is no prosperity in your life, an intruder is doing the works of the devil. God has plans for your prosperity. He says come to me and I will show you things that you don’t know (Jeremiah 33:3). God is telling you today, there is a better tomorrow continue calling him and surely you will get grace of getting out.
There were 4 princes in the time of Jeremiah, Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jucala son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malchijah. They had heard of the message that Jeremiah was preaching and they loathed him for that. They planned to kill him for they did not understand the message he was giving out. When you speak the truth, not everyone will support you. It is better that man rejects you but God walks with you.
The four princes set out before the king and poisoned the name of Jeremiah as a bad person. When the king asked them what they would like to do about it, they said they wanted permission to kill Jeremiah for what he was preaching. But Jeremiah feared not because in his heart, he knew that God was with him and also he was going to stand with him. They teased him yet he continued fearing not. He knew in his mind, My God is going to come through. Even in hard times, God was with Jeremiah.
Some people may hate you but always remember that there is a God in heaven. When they tied him up and threw him in the pit, God was still with Jeremiah. Pass through that fire you are facing today with God for He is greater than any situation. Now Ebed-Melech the Cushite, a court official in the royal palace, heard about Jeremiah’s turmoil and said that this man couldn’t be killed. And now the same king Zedekiah who permitted Jeremiah to be killed was the same king who was going to permit Jeremiah to be rescued.
The times that enemies plotted against you are the times God prepared for your prosperity. The man who walks with God can’t be finished because when enemies plot against him, God prepares people to come and rescue him. I declare that in every pit that you were thrown into, you get out in Jesus’s name. The pit of sickness, poverty, and foolishness, receives the grace of getting out. Do not cry for God is with you and is walking with you. He is greater than everything you are facing.
The same king Zedekiah permitted Jeremiah to be killed is the same king who said Jeremiah to be rescued. May your enemies be forced to release your life! You are not going to die if you believe in God. He is going to force your enemies to release your breakthrough in Jesus’ name.

Now the rescuer Ebed-melech was given 30 men to go and rescue Jeremiah and they drew him out of that pit. The princes plotting for Jeremiah’s death were 4 but His rescuers were 31 Just imagine that. When people hate you for the truth, God will save you and one day they will look for you who loathed you. I don’t know how the princes felt but, The God you serve is surely going to frustrate your enemies.
Walk with God and surely you won’t get burnt by the fire. The four princes thought they had killed Jeremiah but he was saved. Remember that God always has an alternative. May your enemies be disappointed you won’t drink that poison, God is greater than your in-laws. He is greater whether they want to see you or not. Some are in the pits of poverty, God is going to take you out. Receive the grace of Getting out as a warrior in Jesus’ name.
The four princes expected Jeremiah to be dead but God frustrated them. Remember you have enemies. Even I have enemies. Be afraid not for the bible says God is with you. Be assertive in your heart that you are carrying a warrior. Shadrack Misheck and Abednego when they were told to kneel before a false god, they refused. Upon being reported, they feared not. If you want uplifting in your life, you must know your God well. TELL SOMEONE MALIZA UOGA!!!
When they threw Shadrack Misheck and Abednego into their demise, they found that more people were now in the fire with them. They threw them tied up but now these men were untied. Here is my revelation to you; when you go with God nothing will finish you. You will never serve God and face rejection and struggles.
The Lord mighty of war will visit your situation so henceforth receive the grace of getting out of that bad situation. God loves you more than any man will. Jeremiah knew that God would save him while he was still in that pit. While you are in a bad situation, don’t get stressed by the hatred of men.
Friends who don’t have value in your life, let them go! Thomas never believed, Peter always denied, Judas was a betrayer yet some believed in Christ. Sometimes your enemy tells you they will pray for you yet that is not the case. Let them go and with God, you will find an opportunity to make new friends. Tell God to remove those who can’t benefit from your situation. Whether they love you or not, God loves you. They will seek you one day. Receive the grace of getting out of that hole in Jesus’ name.
Jeremiah knew that this pit, won’t limit the presence of God. May God intervene in your situation. Your children won’t die. One day David said in Psalms 35; “O Lord, fight those fighting me; declare war on them for their attacks on me”, so those who believe in God won’t get finished. Even if people think you won’t go far, surely with God you will. Your people know your history but one thing they don’t know is your tomorrow for it is not attached to anyone other than God.
