Title: Victory through Rejection

Reading comes from Judges 11:1-6

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot, and Gilead begot Jephthah. 2 Gilead’s wife bore sons; and when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out, and said to him, “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.” 3 Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob; and worthless men banded together with Jephthah and went out raiding with him.

4 It came to pass after a time that the people of Ammon made war against Israel. 5 And so it was, when the people of Ammon made war against Israel, that the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob. 6 Then they said to Jephthah, “Come and be our commander, that we may fight against the people of Ammon.”. That’s the word of God!

“I have seen several things that have happened in my life that have shown me there is victory in God. God chose Jephthah and saw him worthy though he was born through a mother who during her time was a harlot. “He was plotted against by his siblings to the point of him getting denied his inheritance due to those audacious claims.”

“Notably, it is good to have a good and strong foundation in life and though Jephthah was strong he was exiled into the land of Tob. Some of us are born and bred like a pineapple in a very hostile and thorny area needless to say; we can never know what tomorrow looks like. It is only in the House of God that most of us found solace.”

“When Jephthah was rejected, and exiled, he did not get suicidal thoughts, let his life go with the wind, or even numb his pain with drugs or alcohol. He started small thanks to the residents that he found in that land he was exiled. Through his skilled solid foundation in warfare, he trained worthless men and raided with them while in exile.”

“When Israel was at war, they sought someone as their leader, and indeed Jephthah who was previously exiled; needed by those who despised him to come back home and lead them into battle against their enemies. and later in the story, we see through his leadership, that the Israelites gained their freedom. “

“TODAY THIS IS WHAT YOU GET THROUGH THIS WORD

In God’s house, is where you cry to him and get victory. It is where you gain favor over where you never used to get invited. I remember some time back in the old days when a group of people would never invite me when they cooked meat but were persistent when they cooked Githeri (A stable African dish of a mixture of boiled corn and beans). Nevertheless, I discovered their plot and went to eat meat at the market center anyway. “

“The best solution for rejection is;

  1. Go to God’s House where victory and all things are possible and where he can give you eternal life.
  2. Refrain yourself from insulting those who insult you for one day they will seek you like Jephthah was sought.
  3. Young people remember not to waste your lives in the dreadful pleasures of life to the point that you cannot be saved due to your mistakes like Amnon (2 Samuel 13)
  4. Between the period of getting sought after and now, the one, two, three days, weeks, months, or years,  keep pressing on for God has willed it that all circumstances and tribulations come to an end in his own time.”

“In conclusion,

In God’s House, God will train you to teach others how to prosper through your skills and talents, and when you get assisted by God assist others like Jephthah trained soldiers who gained victory in battle for the Israelites.”
